Power Projects NT Pty. Ltd (PPNT) commenced trading on 7th March, 1988 and now 30 years on is one of the major maintenance service providers in the Northern Territory. Initially established as an electrical contracting company, PPNT has evolved to offer a comprehensive suite of trade services such as Essential Services (wastewater, sewerage & power lines maintenance) along with residential plumbing, air conditioning, electrical and building maintenance . The growth of PPNT always stemmed from a grass roots approach to the needs of the community it served. Today PPNT employs more than 60 staff who live and work in the Katherine region and beyond.


July 2018 marks a new era for Power Projects NT via new majority ownership under Aboriginal United Services, a proven dynamic and expanding Indigenous Enterprise. Under continued minority ownership and management by Mr Andrew Harvey, Power Projects NT remains a truly a Territory company with strong local networks, valuable practical knowledge and experience from years of operating across the top end of Australia.


The new arrangement between PPNT and AUS is aligned with the cultures of both businesses, in particular relating to diversity. AUS is steadfast in its core vision to increase the economic development of Aboriginal people and businesses in sectors where the group operates. Their corporate motto encapsulates the vision for service offerings being “Innovative Services by Traditional people Australia wide”.


Together, PPNT and AUS will work towards identifying economic opportunities that help drive:

  • Provide a central platform for Aboriginal businesses to participate in contracting opportunities
